Balanced Speech Therapy is a private practice serving children and adults in the Upper Valley Region. We are seeking to welcome a passionate, engaging, and motivated Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) and Camp Counselors to our team at our White River Junction clinic.

Summer Speech Assistants (SLPAs)

Position Overview 

There are multiple SLPA opportunities with Balanced Speech Therapy this summer with the option to extend into continued work if interested. 

Summer Camp Position- Provide speech therapy services and participate in day camp programming during our summer camp program with children ages 3-8 from 8:15-2:45 for 5 weeks (July 9th- August 9th) at our clinic in White River Junction, VT. 

Duties include 1:1 speech therapy sessions, group activities including shared book readings, arts and crafts, outdoor play and group games. 

After Camp Position- Provide 1:1 speech therapy for children of all ages and assist/lead group sessions for children ages 6-11 from 3:00-6:00 M-Th. Groups include our Friendship Group and Special Interest Club. 1:1 sessions target speech, language, executive function, communication, pragmatics, and/or literacy. Training provided as needed.

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

OR

* Current license as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant 

* Experience in pediatric speech pathology 

* Passion for working with toddlers, children, and adolescents.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Summer Camp Counselors

Position Overview 

Provide supervision, guidance, and programming for 4-8 children ages 3-8 from 8:15-2:45 for 5 weeks (July 9th- August 9th) at our clinic in White River Junction, VT.  Support and create a language rich, developmentally appropriate environment for children to learn, grow, and have fun! 

Duties include drop off/pick up, facilitating group activities including shared book readings, arts and crafts, outdoor play and group games. Maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for all campers and staff.

Qualifications

* Must be 18 years old and a high school graduate or equivalent

* Experience working with children

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
